Let me explain you in detail as I am in favour of ICSE board :
  1. As English is considered very important in today's day to day life you will find that right from the very beginning the English course books in ICSE are very standard with lots of vocab idioms and phrases which polishes their knowledge on English whereas in other boards their English courses are far inferior as compared to ICSE board. (and to those persons who think that English is not that much important go and ask the person of IT field what good communication skill means and how it helps them in their field growth. As for information almost 75percent of the work force works in private sector)
  2. In ICSE board even a small tot has to work hard a lot as they have to cope with many subjects and indeed this is a pressure for the kids but it makes them a hard worker always perspiring to get better and better marks which prepares them for the cut throat competition in their career. On the contrary you will find state board kids still enjoying their life and having a good time and in CBSE board they are most of the time involved in making projects which most of the time is useless.
  3. Now to be specific, if you see the science subjects,in ICSE board the furcation of physics chemistry and biology happens in the 6th grade only which helps them to grasp better and discriminate between them.But in other boards they keep on dragging the science subject as one till class 10 where the student hardly finds out the difference between different topics.
  4. Coming to the books prescribed in ICSE board for science you will find a hell lot of difference between the ICSE books and other state boards. The books in science has a high standard and very beautifully written with numerous examples which you are not going to find out in other board texts.(One thing I want to say about NCERT books is that they have questions asked in the middle of the chapter which the students have to ask the teachers as the answer is not written there. It is good as it makes the student curious but sadly our education system especially in govt schools is very bad as teachers don't want to teach,exceptions might be there. So the curiosity in the student dies and finally the concept vanishes. My request to the NCERT community is that please provide answers to the questions also otherwise most of the questions makes a question mark in the students head with no answers)
